Erin and Paul had a gorgeous and sophisticated wedding, they choose to go with greenery themed, in their own words… they were looking for simplicity! Their venue in Quesnel (interior BC) was chosen because it is a family-owned business that has been in their family for generations.
Owning the venue gave some perks (like being able to prep in advance) and the whole team chipped in to get everything tip top shape. Parents, brothers, uncles aunts, and friends all helped clean and clear out a greenhouse and Erin’s mom did the hanging arrangements and the arch arrangement which was really special to me.
Erin (always the optimist!) said that having a Covid wedding ended up being a blessing in disguise as she got to incorporate a lot of details that she secretly wanted but usually don’t happen with traditional weddings. I.e they got to eat family-style, the bridal party got to sit down during the ceremony, and both moms were witnesses.
I asked Erin how she felt the day went and she share: “The day was so intimate and in the end, was exactly what we wanted – we wouldn’t change a thing.”
I love hearing such great things from couples, thanks so much Erin and Paul for having You Floral part of your special day! To check out what a greenery themed wedding looks like… scroll on down!
